All School Events

Throughout the school year, Montessori Radmoor School invites you to participate in the following events and special functions. Please refer to the school calendar to verify actual events and dates for the current school year.

Race for Radmoor (September)

This is a great family event to start the new School Year and you don’t have to run to participate! Events include a chip-timed 5K and 1-mile race, as well as a fun Toddler Trot around the school parking lot. The main race course begins and ends in the Radmoor parking lot, and proceeds from this event will help support the Lila Radway Scholarship Fund, providing resources to families to increase access to Montessori education. Fall/Spring Classroom Potlucks

Each classroom hosts a potluck dinner in the classroom. This event allows families to get to know each other, the staff and familiarize themselves with the classroom environment. The school will provide all paper products and we ask each parent brings a dish to pass or a beverage. Check out our Events Page for specific dates.

Parent Study Programs

Throughout the school year, parents and staff gather together to discuss various aspects of child development and Montessori philosophy. We encourage all our parents and prospective parents to take advantage of these classes to learn more about Montessori. For times and dates, check our Parent Study page.

PGA Events

Our Parent and Guardian Association host monthly coffees in the gym to discuss various topics. The PGA also holds various fundraising events and community events. Check out our PGA Page for more information.

Elementary Business (Monthly)

Our upper elementary children are responsible for running the monthly bagel breakfast and various fundraisers to support their elementary business fund. In the past, they have purchased two composters for the school, and each year they help raise funds for presents for children in foster families with their annual bake sale. They are an innovative group of youngsters that do a fantastic job in supporting their school and community. Check out our Events Page for specific dates.

Special Person’s Day (November)

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to bring someone special to explore our school for the morning. They are taken on a tour of the school and visit the child’s classroom where they can experience various Montessori materials. This is an annual favorite of our families. Open Houses (January)

We like to welcome prospective parents to our annual Open House. This is a great opportunity to visit the school, meet with our staff and experience the wonderful Montessori materials. Click HERE to learn more.

Community Garage Sale (May)

Alumni and current parents conduct a community garage sale, which is open to the public. Check out our Events Page for specific dates.

International Night (May)

Culture and diversity are the fundamentals of our school and this is a night to celebrate what makes this school so special – our unique blend of families! On this night, the classrooms are magically transformed into various continents and the gym is turned into an ethnic food court where parents bring a special dish to pass celebrating their heritage.
