Montessori Radmoor

Dear Parents,

I hope that you all had a great break and were able to enjoy spending some extra time with friends and family. The students have settled back into their daily routine and are excited to see each other.

The children wrote a very funny game show play complete with commercial breaks on the phases of mitosis for an animal cell. They performed it on the last day before break to the lower elementary class. It is always fun to see what kind of clever ideas they have to teach the lower elementary students about what they are learning in class.

I would like to take this time to remind everyone about the snow day policy for our school. If the Okemos public schools close due to inclement weather (except 2 hour delays) then, we do not have school. You can also find our school listed on WLNS school closings web page, their perspective channels on television and on the local radio broadcasts.   The school will also send out a constant contact email.

With winter weather upon us, I would also like to remind everyone about our indoor/outdoor cold weather policy.  If the temperature or wind chill is below 0 we have indoor recess. However, 1 degree is still pretty cold!  So, please make sure your child comes to school wearing appropriate outdoor gear.

A reminder that Martin Luther King Day is on January 19th and there is no school that day.

Thank You,

Christine
