Dear Parents,

Last week we had our first perennial sale for “Serra Calda.” The children had a great time and worked very hard preparing and marketing their product. We would like this to become an annual event during the fall planting time.

We are looking forward to our time at camp, which is quickly approaching. Now would be a great time to take a look at your child’s winter clothing from last year and see if it still fits. I would suggest a pair of long underwear that is easily layered. We are on the shores of Lake Michigan and spend many hours outside, so layers are very important at this time of year.

Thank you to those who were able to attend our “Chili Chow Down.” The children worked hard to prepare the chili that was served. Now, we look forward to seeing you at the Bagel Breakfast on Friday, September 27^th beginning at 8:00 am. Please check your mailbox to see what time your child has chosen to work. We are also always looking for parent volunteers. There is always room for another set of hands! Proceeds go toward purchasing items for the school and for charity purposes.

Thank you all for having your children at school on time, as it is very important to the students when they want to work with others. I also begin the day many times with large group lessons. This provides me the opportunity to give more lessons throughout the day!
