Montessori Radmoor

Welcome to the P3 community!

My name is Patricia “Trish” Murphy and I am the lead teacher in Primary 3.  I have been at Montessori Radmoor since 2007, and started teaching in the Primary community in 2008 after I received my AMS Primary training certification from the Princeton Center for Teacher Education in Princeton, New Jersey. Prior to my Montessori training, I worked as the coordinator and instructor for an inner-city youth ceramics outreach program in Philadelphia, and taught ceramics to children at the Princeton Arts Council. I received my bachelors degree in Anthropology from Michigan State University in 1994.

I live on the banks of the Red Cedar river in Williamston and enjoy being in the outdoors, kayaking, gardening and creating things.  My husband Michael and I have three sons, Donovan, Soren and Keiran- all of them attended Montessori Radmoor.

Meet assistant Michelle Munson – I have worked in Primary 3 since 2009, and this is the ninth year that Trish and I have worked together. I have two children, Jesse and Caroline, both of whom are students at Williamston High School. They attended Radmoor through their Elementary years.  I graduated from University of Michigan a long long time ago, and I manage to celebrate the successes of Michigan State University with your children each day.

Meet Leslie Vainner – I am excited to work with Michelle Munson as an assistant to Ms. Trish.  I hold an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and will complete my Elementary Education degree from Ferris State University in the spring of 2018.

I have spent the last three years working in our toddler program, subbing in the primary classrooms and have a total of five years of experience working with children.    I am excited to gain more experience working in the Primary 3 community.

As a team, we enjoy our days working with young children, as each is new, and always enlightening!  Together we are looking forward to getting to know you and your child, and building a partnership to support your child’s growth and development.

Hope you had a peaceful and pleasant summer, we are excited for the new School Year!

Trish Murphy
