Montessori Radmoor

Happy spring!  We are so excited for the warmer weather. Spring means: taking walks in the woods, filling our bird feeders, and checking out the greenhouse to see what’s growing! Because of the warmer weather we will be going outside more often. Please continue to send warm coats, lightweight hats and mittens, and appropriate footwear as the grounds are often still wet and muddy.

Very soon we will start planting seeds inside for our summer garden. The children will help make little newspaper pots, fill them with soil, and water them until they are ready to be transplanted outside. If you are out and about and would like to let your child pick out a pack of seeds to share with the class, that would be great! It’s so interesting to try all sorts of different things from flowers to veggies and herbs! We love to talk about the things that grow in our garden with the toddler children: “Oh here are the beets that Jackson and his family shared with us!”  The toddlers take care of the garden all summer long. We can never have too many things to water. Planting, watering and either eating the foods we grow, or observing, smelling and arranging the flowers we grow are favorite activities.

Also be on the lookout for our new storage shed. It has been purchased with the funds our toddler families donated at Christmas time. Again thank you!

You may also have noticed a new student in our class. Her name is Yanwen! She loves working with water activities and is exploring more each day! Welcome Yanwen!

As always, thank you for sharing your AMAZING children with us each day!
