Montessori Radmoor

Hi all! Well the end of the year came very quickly! I’d like to start by giving a big thank you to all of you. Thank you for being so generous in donating towards our storage shed, for donating books from the book fair, and for bringing in healthy and delicious foods for our snacks each week. We also had 100 % of families sign up for conferences in the fall.  I really appreciate that.

I wanted to also thank you for being so understanding about all the illness that has come and gone this year. It’s been an unusual year. I just wanted to reassure you that we are constantly working to keep everything clean and to help everyone stay healthy. We do this by lots of hand washing; by helping/ teaching the children to cough/sneeze into their elbows (catch your sneeze). We also do weekly sanitizing of the materials in the class in addition to sanitizing as needed (for example whenever we see something go into a child’s mouth). We also wipe down and sanitize many surfaces in the room each morning before the children arrive (like tables and bathrooms). Also any table that the children eat on is washed and sanitized both before and after use.

There are some ways you can help us as well. One of the biggest ways is to discourage putting anything in mouths that is not food.

I am also looking into the use of essential oils. I am curious if there are any that help to boost immunity. If anyone has any experience or recommendations I would love to chat with you.

As always thank you for sharing your amazing toddlers with us.

Erin
