Montessori Radmoor

Hello there Toddler Families,

As we are approaching the Thanksgiving holidays, our class will be celebrating our first ever Toddler Day of Thanks. On Tuesday, November 26, we will prepare a vegetable and rice soup that we will eat together, along with some other yummy treats. Each toddler will be asked to contribute something to the soup (a potato, 2 carrots etc. . .), so be on the lookout for your item in your family mailbox. We will be eating this soup for lunch, and would ask on just that day, if you normally pick up at 12:00, please pick up at 12:15. I am looking forward to preparing and sharing this meal with our toddlers.

Also, thank you to Erika Bridge who came in to take our toddler class photos. They looked great and we should see the composite sometime around the Thanksgiving holiday.

We have been seeing a lot of birds coming to the bird feeders and also seeing wild turkeys on some of our nature walks (how exciting). We have also been singing a new turkey song, as well as a family song that includes spelling out your child’s name. It has been a big hit, so if you would like to know how to sing it, just ask and I’ll teach you.

We do like to go outside in all types of weather, so this is a great time of year to start packing snow pants, hats and mittens. We will often wear these items without snow, just to stay warm. Please feel free to leave a set in your child’s backpack, or if you have an extra set, they can be left here at school in your child’s cubby.

Finally, I would like to thank you for your many donations of classroom supplies. We have been receiving leftover fruits and veggies for Cocofluff, Lysol wipes (to keep those germs away), extra tissues and toilet paper (we can never have enough). THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Have a great holiday break, and I can’t wait for the snow to fly!

Erin
